Mortgage options for contractors

Mortgage brokers continue to offer competitive deals to individuals wanting to buy a property. In particular, contractors are benefitting from a variety of options from a wide range of lenders.
Nationwide, a newer entrant to the contractor mortgage market, have recently adjusted their product range, appealing to those wanting to save some pennies just before Christmas. In order to keep up with competitors, the building society is now offering free valuations and cash back options on a handful of their popular products.
The products that are available to contractors are no different to any other mortgage in terms of pricing. The difference is how the lender assesses the application. Contractor Mortgages Made Easy (CMME) has put in place bespoke underwriting agreements with a number of lenders, where gross contract income and career experience is more important than remuneration structures.
The broker has recently been given access to an exclusive mortgage product from contractor-friendly lender Clydesdale Bank. The mortgage is available to first time buyers and home movers with as little as a 10% deposit and consists of a 2 year fixed rate at 2.99% with no arrangement or valuation fee.
CMME’s clients are able to take advantage of this first and only exclusive which Clydesdale has offered a broker since early 2014.
If you would like information about any of the above, please call Contractor Mortgages Made Easy on 01489 555 080 to speak to an experienced consultant.
